Tips for Tests
Happy Spring Break! We have a quick post about test anxiety that we thought we would share in preparation for the last round of midterm exams and finals when you return from break.
Many students suffer from test anxiety. Rob Sepich, Student Relations Manager and Stress Management Specialist at UHS, compiled a list of tips for tests. These tips can be used before, during, and after exams. Think about using them yourselves, or sharing them in sessions with your students.
Let us know what you think, and hope you have a great break!

I will definitely share these tips with my students and use them myself! I think the before recommendation of studying during numerous blocks of time is so important to remind students of because I know that I sometimes fall victim to the last minute cramming, and in reality it is much more beneficial to spread out your studying. I also thought the after tips were great too because I know that it can be really difficult to stop thinking about an exam, especially if it was challenging.
ReplyDeleteA lot of my students have struggled with test anxiety and I have too. I will make sure to share these with them. I often struggle after exams with taking my mind off of it. These after tips are really helpful because I think a lot of people forget to calm down when it is over.
